In my opinion they are the same energy they just have different names. Reiki is Japanese for universal energy and Qi Gong is chinese for universal energy (roughly translated). It is also called “Prana” in the Hindu language.
The bottom line its the same energy originating from the same source. None is better than the others.

If you don’t know reiki, google it. Reiki basically means "universal energy" in Japanese. Practically speaking Reiki is used by practitioners to assist people in healing. It does NOT replace traditional medicine, only supplements it.

Yes, I believe in Reiki’s practical applications because I have seen it’s effects. I am a Reiki practitioner and have seen aches and pains go away almost instantly when I’ve worked on clients, friends and family. Reiki is not always instant relief, sometimes it takes multiple sessions for the client to feel any significant relief. I also have seen puppies that were so weak and small gain over an ounce overnight after receiving Reiki energy.

I also believe that in order to receive a healing, you have to be open to receiving the healing in your deepest soul. If you have an illness or disease due to a karmic issue, than it doesn’t matter what kind of treatment you complete, nothing will help until the lessons involved with that illness or disease has been learned.

I am a Reiki Healer Master (Reiki IIIA Degree).

Reiki works. It is an energy healing therapy, which cures diseases by raising the patients’ energy level. Anybody who has taken a Reiki treatment will seldom say that he or she has not experienced a positive change in physical and mental health. The logic behind working of Reiki is simple – It raises your body’s energy level, which in turn brings about good thoughts and a feeling of well-being which actually heals the patient gradually. Reiki heals the mind first which in turn heals the physical body. Medical Science is still in the initial stages of discovering the body-mind connection but this connection can be easily experienced by a Reiki practitioner.

Reputed Hospitals like Apollo now a days have Reiki consultants on their rolls and in some western countries it is mandatory for doctors to learn reiki.

Some things cannot be explained by logic but can be experienced. If in doubts, consult a reiki healer near you and take a session. I can assure you, you wont regret.

There are many people in my congregation that have Reiki and use other forms of energy healing.
God is the source of every healing so who answered that Reiki is not good because doesn’t come from God is an ignorant.

i have been reading on reiki and am very interested however i have done " other" energy healing like clearing auras and chakars before but would be be classed as reiki? or is reiki energy purely from a higher deity and not your self?

Reiki is universal life force energy, it id not giving your energy away nor taking energy from another person. It is allowing pure healing energy to move through you and heal you as it is flowing through on the way to heal the person you are offering Reiki to. This enables you to offer healing to others without you having to take on their pain or become drained yourself.

Being attuned to the energy by a qualified Master/Teacher and receiving adequate training in techniques for grounding and centering yourself are important if you want to offer Reiki to others.
